About Society of St. Vincent de Paul — Denver Metro Council
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (Denver Metro Council) is a Catholic lay charitable network organized into neighborhood "conferences" that provide person-to-person support for people experiencing poverty or crisis in the Denver metropolitan area.
Founded locally in the late 19th century and operating as a registered 501(c)(3) (EIN 84-6032037), the Denver Metro Council coordinates roughly 29–32 conferences and several hundred volunteer Vincentians to provide food, emergency financial assistance, housing support and other services.
In recent years the Council has expanded targeted assistance programs—including an Ozanam housing reimbursement fund, a vehicle repair program, and ARC gift-card purchases for household goods—and reports serving tens of thousands of neighbors and distributing millions of dollars in financial aid annually.
