About Colorado Youth Bands
Colorado Youth Bands (formerly Colorado Honor Band Association) is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has provided year‑round, multi-level after-school instrumental music education since 1953. The organization operates multiple ensembles, weekly classes, one-on-one coaching, master classes, seasonal public performances, a summer overnight camp, and occasional national/international travel opportunities.
In recent years the program has continued serving roughly 200+ students annually, sustained low tuition through donations and grants, and updated leadership and staff to support program delivery and growth while maintaining its long-standing curriculum and ensemble progression model.
