To preserve and promote the history and heritage of Morgan County by supporting the Fort Morgan Museum, funding exhibits and educational programming, acquiring and preserving artifacts, and engaging the community in local history.
About Fort Morgan Heritage Foundation
The Fort Morgan Heritage Foundation is a volunteer-led nonprofit that partners with the City of Fort Morgan to support the Fort Morgan Museum through fundraising, exhibits, publications, and educational programs. It serves as a depository for local artifacts and records and sponsors community history projects that document and share Morgan County’s past.
The Foundation produces publications, runs a Community History Writers program, organizes public lecture series and special exhibits, and funds preservation and outreach efforts that increase public access to local heritage.
In recent years the Foundation has continued publishing local history volumes, supported museum exhibits and programs (including a Brown Bag Lecture Series), and engaged in community projects such as the expansion of the "One Hundred and Eleven Trees" series and related local tree-commemoration efforts.
