About Colorado Dental Hygienists' Association
The Colorado Dental Hygienists' Association (CODHA) is the state constituent association for dental hygienists in Colorado, providing continuing education, advocacy, professional development, and member services. CODHA operates as a professional business league rather than a public charity — it is organized and reported as a tax‑exempt 501(c)(6) entity (not a 501(c)(3)), which means contributions to CODHA are not tax‑deductible as charitable donations.
In the past 2–3 years CODHA has expanded its continuing education portfolio, hosted and promoted the statewide ALPINE conference series, supported school‑based and mobile oral‑health programs, and engaged actively in Colorado regulatory and legislative processes (including testimony and stakeholder work on the 2025 Dental Practice Act extension).

CODHA leaders and members provided testimony and stakeholder participation during the 2025 process to extend and update Colorado’s Dental Practice Act, demonstrating active influence on state regulation affecting dental hygiene practice.

CODHA’s executive leadership received national awards and recognition in 2024 for public‑health work and for growing CODHA’s programs and state conference profile.
Expanded CE and training programs
In the last 2–3 years CODHA increased its CE offerings (including scope‑expansion courses and on‑demand webinars) and secured grant support to broaden member services and community programs.
