About DWELLING PLACE REGIONAL COMMUNITY LAND TRUST

Dwelling Place Regional Community Land Trust (DPCLT) is a community land trust based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, that preserves land to create permanently affordable homeownership for income-qualified households. The trust retains ownership of land while selling homes under resale- and income-restrictions so units remain affordable for future generations. Launched in 2020 as a stewardship entity associated with Dwelling Place of Grand Rapids, DPCLT develops and stewards CLT homes, provides homebuyer assistance and stewardship services, and has increased its activity and balance-sheet footprint in recent years as it completed site developments and supported buyer closings.

Organizational launch and financial growth

Formed in 2020 and established as a 501(c)(3) in 2021, DPCLT expanded its portfolio and financial base through 2022–2024, reporting materially increased revenue and assets as it scaled CLT development and stewardship.
