About OBODO COLLECTIVE

Obodo Collective is a San Francisco–registered 501(c)(3) that operates community-focused programs, with significant on-the-ground work in the Historic Westside of Las Vegas. The organization fosters partnerships among local nonprofits, runs an urban farm and grocery initiative, and provides mutual-aid style services to address food insecurity, housing support, workforce readiness, and related needs. In the past 2–3 years Obodo has developed an urban farm (opened publicly in 2023), stood up a community greengrocer serving Historic Westside residents (grand opening in February 2025), and reports performing over 1,000 acts of service since its founding in 2020. The organization has also partnered with local public health and municipal programs to expand fresh-food access and neighborhood services.

Notable achievements

Established Obodo Urban Farm

Opened a half-acre community urban farm on C Street in the Historic Westside (public programming began in 2023) to grow and distribute fresh produce, host classes, and serve as a community gathering space.

Launched Obodo Greengrocer

Opened a community greengrocer on February 22, 2025 to provide locally grown produce and essential goods to a neighborhood with limited healthy-food options; the project was designed to serve several hundred nearby households.

Sustained mutual-aid and direct assistance

Since 2020 the Collective reports delivering over 1,000 acts of service including food distribution, nutritional education, rental-rights support, emergency financial assistance, and job-placement referrals for families in need.
