Mission

Advance an all-out national mobilization to defeat the climate crisis and build a just, thriving clean energy economy by pairing bold policy research with strategic communications, advocacy, and implementation support.

About EVERGREEN COLLABORATIVE

Evergreen Collaborative is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 86-1741610) founded in 2021 that develops policy roadmaps, research, and implementation guidance to accelerate clean energy deployment while centering economic and environmental justice.

The organization publishes policy memos and reports, runs strategic communications and campaign work, and coordinates with partner organizations and state governments to translate federal funding and laws into concrete state and local climate action.

Since 2022–2023 Evergreen pivoted from designing major federal legislative proposals to focusing on implementation, state-level policy, and defending hard-won federal climate investments; in 2024 it published an annual impact summary and continued producing research and state-focused memos to support electrification, grid modernization, and equitable clean energy deployment.

Notable achievements

Influence on federal clean-energy agenda

Played a visible role developing and advocating policy blueprints and tax-credit designs that informed the broader federal climate conversation and helped shape elements of major clean-energy investments adopted in recent years.

Transition to implementation and state wins

Since 2023–2024 Evergreen shifted to implementation-focused work, publishing state-level memos and playbooks and contributing to measurable state policy advances and regulatory actions on electrification, utility accountability, and grid flexibility.

Rapid production of policy memos and toolkits

Produced a steady stream of actionable memos, reports, and toolkits (e.g., on virtual power plants, direct pay strategies, and building decarbonization) used by advocates, regulators, and state officials.
