TRI-CITIES PUENTES INITIATIVE

About TRI-CITIES PUENTES INITIATIVE
Tri-Cities Puentes Initiative (TCPI) is a community nonprofit formed out of the Grand Haven Hispanic Heritage Fiesta (first produced in 2019) and organized as a formal 501(c)(3) in 2022. The organization focuses on cultural celebration, leadership development, and community collaboration across the Tri-Cities area (Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Ferrysburg) to increase cultural awareness and support Hispanic residents. TCPI runs and supported programs such as the Grand Haven Hispanic Heritage Fiesta, the LEADeres Lakeshore leadership program, Lakeshore Latinas (women's empowerment), and the Lupita Reyes Scholarship to help develop Latino leadership and educational opportunities in the Lakeshore region. TCPI maintained an active web presence, published annual filings, and held community events through 2023–2024. In May 2025 TCPI’s programs and assets were brought under the Hispanic Center of Western Michigan; the acquisition was announced as a strategic consolidation to expand services and grow TCPI’s events and leadership initiatives under the Hispanic Center’s broader regional operations. TCPI continues to have an online presence and an established EIN (86-2223508) with public filings on record.
