About EAST PALO ALTO COMMUNITY ARCHIVE

The East Palo Alto Community Archive (EPACA) is a community-led 501(c)(3) organization that documents, preserves, and shares the histories, stories, and cultural heritage of East Palo Alto. EPACA operates a public, searchable digital catalog of photographs, oral histories, documents, and curated exhibits that center the voices of local Black, Latinx, Pacific Islander, and multilingual communities.

Since receiving tax-exempt status in 2022, EPACA has transitioned from a volunteer-led startup project into an operating nonprofit with paid programming, a growing digitized collection, and partnerships with regional funders and cultural institutions.
