A'ALI'I Mentoring
To foster and cultivate mentoring relationships that support young adults (ages 18–24) from underrepresented and under-resourced communities in Hawaiʻi to enter, persist in, and complete higher education and to transition successfully into careers and adulthood.
About A'ALI'I Mentoring
A'ALI'I Mentoring is a Honolulu-based nonprofit founded in 2021 that builds trained one-to-one mentoring relationships and cohort programming to help young adults from underserved communities navigate higher education and early-adulthood challenges. The organization ran three cohorts (2021–24), added alumni meet-ups to maintain engagement, and documents high post-program mentor/mentee retention and positive early outcomes among program participants. In September 2025 A'ALI'I Mentoring formally joined forces with Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaiʻi; the program, mentors, and mentees were integrated into BBBS Hawaiʻi's statewide mentoring infrastructure while preserving A'ALI'I's core cohort and higher-education focus. The EIN provided (86-3313925) was cross-checked against public nonprofit filings and charity databases and matches the organization researched here.
