About CHANGE PLEASE USA INC
Change Please USA is the U.S. arm of the UK-founded social enterprise Change Please. It operates a training academy and cafés/wholesale coffee operations whose revenue funds job training, housing support and onward employment for people experiencing homelessness.
The organization opened its first U.S. training café in Charlotte, NC in 2023 and runs SCA-standard barista training, living-wage trainee placements, and one-to-one post-graduation support intended to move people into stable employment and housing.

Opened the first U.S. training café at Charlotte’s Innovation Barn as the organization’s U.S. training hub and public-facing site.
First U.S. trainees placed into employment
Completed first U.S. training cohorts and achieved early job placements for graduates in the Charlotte area.
Local partnership & scale plan
Established partnership with Envision Charlotte/Innovation Barn and set a local training capacity goal (site-level capacity planning of up to ~200 trainees/year as the program scales).
