About Copper Family Memorial Foundation
The Copper Family Memorial Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity based in Colorado (with registration activity noted in Colorado and Nevada) that honors the memories of John A. Copper and Matthew D. Copper by supporting youth tennis programs and athletes.
Since receiving tax-exempt recognition, the Foundation has focused on organizing junior tournaments, sponsoring Junior Team Tennis (JTT) teams, offering inclusive skill-development clinics, and awarding scholarships to graduating high-school tennis players; in recent years it has expanded tournament activity and launched a scholarship program.

Expanded 2024 Tournaments
In 2024 the Foundation hosted four Matthew D. Copper Memorial JV Doubles Challenge events (two girls' and two boys' tournaments), engaging roughly 150–200 players across the series and broadening regional participation.
Scholarship Program Launch
Launched a scholarship program in 2024 and awarded two $1,000 scholarships to graduating high-school tennis players to support their academic and athletic pursuits.
Consistent JTT Support
Since 2022 the Foundation has sponsored multiple Junior Team Tennis teams and supported school teams' participation in junior varsity events, sustaining local youth tennis pipelines.
