PUEBLO COMITIUM OUR LADY OF CONQUISTADORA LEGION OF MARY
A lay Catholic apostolate under the banner of the Legion of Mary devoted to prayer, Marian devotion, and pastoral outreach — forming praesidia (local groups) to carry out home, hospital and institutional visitation, evangelization, and spiritual formation in the Pueblo area.
About PUEBLO COMITIUM OUR LADY OF CONQUISTADORA LEGION OF MARY
Pueblo Comitium Our Lady of Conquistadora is a local Comitium (regional council) of the Legion of Mary, a worldwide lay Catholic organization. It operates through parish-based praesidia and works under the ecclesiastical oversight of local clergy and the Legion of Mary structure.
The Comitium focuses on spiritual works of mercy — regular prayer (including the Rosary and Legion prayers), visitation of the sick and homebound, parish outreach and evangelization, and formation of junior and adult members.
In recent years the Pueblo Comitium has reported local extension and formation activity, including the establishment of new praesidia and junior initiatives and measurable sacramental pastoral outcomes linked to visitation and evangelization efforts.
Notable achievements
Formation of new praesidium (Pueblo)
In the 2023–2024 period the Pueblo Comitium reported forming a new praesidium of active members and planning a junior praesidium to expand local lay outreach and sustain future membership.
Local pastoral impact (sacraments)
Recent local reports highlight that Legion visitation and evangelization in the Pueblo area contributed to several returns to the sacraments and a small number of conversions, baptisms and confirmations during 2022–2024.
Sustained parish ministries
Ongoing parish-level ministries — regular homebound communion visits, Rosary groups, literature tables and prison/jail ministry — have continued through the last few years as core apostolates of the Comitium.
