About IT'S A CALLING FOUNDATION
It’s A Calling Foundation (IACF) is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 87-3566829) focused on reducing barriers to mental health care for public safety professionals and their families by subsidizing counseling, coordinating resilience training, and running outreach programs.
IACF operates through partnerships with clinical providers and allied organizations (notably Code-4 Counseling and regional partners), runs recurring conferences and fundraising events, and maintains a low co-pay model to make therapy affordable for responders and military communities.
Notable achievements
DOLA Peace Officer Grant
Awarded a Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) Peace Officer Behavioral Health Support and Community Partnership grant (nearly $50,000) to expand mental health services for peace officers through mid-2026.
LevelUP! Conference Series
Founded and helped run the annual LevelUP! conference (multi-day, role-specific wellness and training) bringing responders, clinicians, and trainers together to advance responder mental fitness and peer support.
High-volume subsidized care
Established a sustained subsidized counseling program (in partnership with clinical providers) that has delivered hundreds of low-cost therapy sessions to responders and families, increasing access where agency or insurance coverage is limited.
