About Flagman Inc

Flagman Inc is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) public-safety nonprofit (tax-exempt since 2022) focused on reducing roadside collisions and protecting first responders and highway workers through public awareness and K–12 education. The organization operates a national K–12 Education Outreach program that delivers school assemblies and community events with first responders and highway workers demonstrating real-world roadside rescue scenarios. In recent years Flagman has run pilot and expansion programs that reached thousands of students across Hawaii and other states, supported by public- and private-sector grants and state highway-safety partners.

Notable achievements

K–12 Education Outreach expansion

Launched pilot and scaled programs in Hawaii and other states, delivering assemblies that reached reported cohorts of students (examples include a Molokai pilot and a statewide Oahu expansion) and incorporating first-responder demonstrations to teach Move Over/roadside safety concepts.

Grant-supported pilot programs

Secured targeted grants to fund program launches and expansion (including foundation and road-safety foundation support for island and out-of-state pilots), enabling curriculum delivery, volunteer coordination, and outreach materials.

Program reach and scaling

Within the last 2–3 years Flagman reported reaching thousands of K–12 students through a combination of pilot programs and statewide rollouts, establishing partnerships with local police, EMS, highway workers and school systems to scale the curriculum.
