Benefits in Action

Benefits in Action is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides benefit navigation and application assistance for programs including Medicare, Medicaid (including disability-related Medicaid), Connect for Health Colorado, SNAP, Social Security, and other public benefits. The organization operates statewide through co-location sites, scheduled walk-in opportunities, remote appointments, volunteer navigators, and targeted food-delivery programs for homebound households. In recent years Benefits in Action has scaled its operations to meet growing need: its published 2024 impact highlights thousands of neighbors served through health-benefit applications, tens of thousands of households helped with food benefits, and large-scale food box deliveries to housebound households across multiple counties. The organization also engages in partnerships and technology pilots to streamline navigator workflows and broaden access to benefits across Colorado.
