About Golden Bicycle eXperience (GBX)
GBX is a registered 501(c)(3) youth development nonprofit based in Golden, Colorado that delivers coaching, camps, racing and outdoor cycling experiences for kids and teens. It was launched by community members and coaches to create accessible, high-quality bicycling instruction for ages roughly 6–18.
In recent years GBX has expanded program hours, coach capacity and community partnerships — reporting several hundred athletes served in 2023 and ongoing summer and specialty programs through 2025.

Program scale in 2023
Reportedly provided more than 9,000 program hours and served roughly 370 young athletes during the 2023 season, marking significant year-over-year growth.
Recognition and grant support
Received multi-year grants and local recognition from community funders (including the Golden Civic Foundation and City of Golden grant programs) to support scholarships and program expansion.
