About Evergreen Country Day School
Evergreen Country Day School (ECDS) is an independent, co-educational day school serving children ages 18 months through 8th grade. The school emphasizes small-by-design classes, experiential learning, and a values-driven curriculum summarized by the acronym T.H.R.I.V.E.
Located on an 11-acre mountain campus outside Denver, ECDS combines rigorous academics (nationally-normed MAP assessments and differentiated instruction) with hands-on STEAM, outdoor education, arts, and public-speaking programs. In recent years ECDS has expanded its innovation and maker-space offerings, and continues to report strong student outcomes and steady enrollment (about 230–240 students, student-to-teacher ratio approximately 6:1).
Notable achievements
Strong high-school placement
High-school placement record: a large majority of recent graduates (reported as roughly 97% over the most recent four-year window) have gone on to attend their first-choice high schools.
Local recognition and awards
ECDS received multiple local 'Best of the Best' recognitions in 2025 and individual faculty were honored in community awards (including a local 'Best Teacher' recognition in 2024), reflecting community appreciation for programming and teaching quality.
Next Innovation Lab launched
ECDS opened a new tech & maker space (Next Innovation Lab) with a ribbon-cutting on August 18, 2025, expanding hands-on STEAM and maker learning on campus.
