About TRAIN WITH TRUST PROJECT
Train With Trust Project is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit that produces and distributes science-based resources to help people recognize pain- and welfare-related behaviors in ridden horses and to encourage compassionate, trust-focused care.
The organization creates freely available tools (checklists, a mobile field guide, posters), hosts regular expert-led conversations and Q&A sessions, and partners with researchers and filmmakers to amplify understanding of equine behavior and early indicators of lameness.
Notable achievements
RHpE resources published
Designed and distributed a free Mobile Field Guide and companion checklists based on the Ridden Horse Pain Ethogram to help non-specialists and professionals identify early behavioral signs of pain.
24 Behaviors documentary
Produced and promoted a short documentary in partnership with Padma Video and leading researchers to shift industry understanding of how behavior can indicate pain before lameness is obvious.
Ongoing expert series
Established a recurring live conversation/Q&A series with internationally recognized equine experts to expand practitioner and public knowledge about ridden-horse welfare.
