About Veterans Exploration Therapy
Veterans Exploration Therapy (V.E.T.) is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded and led by combat veterans to deliver adventure-based therapeutic programs that support veterans' mental wellness, resilience, and community reintegration.
Since launching in 2022, V.E.T. combines outdoor recreation, peer support, and skills training to reach veterans who have fallen through traditional care channels; the organization reports running dozens of programs and serving hundreds of veterans and family members across Colorado.
V.E.T. works with local partners and adaptive/outdoor providers to offer activities ranging from day hikes and skill clinics to multi-day wilderness outings and adaptive winter-sport opportunities, with an emphasis on inclusion, safety, and measurable participant impact.
