Deos Contemporary Ballet is a professional contemporary ballet company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, founded in 2018 and led by Artistic Director Tess Sinke and Executive Director Andrew Hoekstra. The company produces live seasons, community outreach, education programs, and dance-for-film projects that center professional dancers and expand access to contemporary ballet. The organization's EIN (88-1773617) and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status were confirmed through the company’s filed FY24 Form 990-EZ and public nonprofit records; the organization has been operating publicly since its formal tax-exempt recognition in late 2022. In recent seasons Deos has grown from its COLLIDE summer series into a multi-series annual season, touring and partnering with local arts organizations throughout West Michigan.
