About DOUGLAS COUNTY HEALTHY YOUTH COALITION
Douglas County Healthy Youth Coalition (DCHYC) is a community coalition founded in March 2016 that partners with schools, health providers, law enforcement, faith groups, families, and other local stakeholders to promote youth mental health, substance-use prevention, and restorative practices across Douglas County, Colorado.
DCHYC operates evidence-informed initiatives (including Sources of Strength, vaping/e-cigarette prevention, parent education and a Youth Leadership Board) and reports impact metrics such as students reached and community partners engaged.
The organization is registered as a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 88-2224877, IRS ruling year 2022) and focuses on upstream prevention, youth leadership, and trusted-adult engagement.
