About PROTEZ FOUNDATION

Protez Foundation is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 88-2437069) headquartered in Oakdale, Minnesota that provides prosthetic devices, clinical prosthetic services, rehabilitation, and psychosocial support to people affected by limb loss during the Ukraine–Russia war. The organization operates direct patient programs and an educational arm, Protez Academy, which trains Ukrainian prosthetists, rehabilitation professionals, and multidisciplinary teams in modern prosthetic and rehabilitation methods. Since its founding, Protez Foundation has expanded operations across Ukraine and the United States: it established Protez Academy (founded 2023) in partnership with U.S. institutions, operates prosthetic centers, and works with Ukrainian authorities and international partners to develop system-level prosthetic and rehabilitation capacity. In its most recent fiscal reporting year (FY2024) the organization reported multimillion-dollar revenues and significant program spending to support prosthetic delivery, training, and clinic development. In addition to direct patient care, the foundation focuses on sustainable impact by supplying modern components, running hands-on training programs abroad for Ukrainian specialists, and convening professional events and summits to spread best practices across clinical teams in Ukraine.
