TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP FOR CHANGE
TLC was built by and for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) leaders to transform ourselves, our organizations, and the larger movement ecosystem so we can thrive in our leadership.
About TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP FOR CHANGE
Transformative Leadership for Change (TLC) is a Denver-based nonprofit that develops and sustains BIPOC movement leaders through a healing-centered, relational leadership model. The organization operates a year-long fellowship and complementary programs that combine individual development (healing, coaching, embodied practice) with ecosystem-building strategies to strengthen grassroots organizations and funder–grantee relationships. TLC explicitly centers racial justice and ecosystem analysis in its curriculum, seeking to shift power and funding practices in Colorado’s social justice sector. The organization moved from fiscal sponsorship to operating as an independent nonprofit in early 2024 and has expanded its program cohorts, funder partnerships, and grantmaking vehicles to increase support for frontline BIPOC-led groups. TLC’s work includes the flagship fellowship, ongoing alumni networks and learning (Movement Wisdom/TRANSPiRE), and pooled funding efforts (Another World Is Possible Fund) that channel resources and training to community organizations across Colorado.
