PROJECTHANDUP

Projecthandup is a Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates The Gatehouse, a residential supportive-living program for women and their dependent children in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The organization provides multi-track programming (career, education and vocation) alongside furnished apartments and case management to help participants achieve financial stability and long-term self-sufficiency. Projecthandup has been active since 2011 and launched The Gatehouse initiative mid-decade; it operates at scale with multi-million dollar annual program spending and a substantial asset base that supports its residential community. The organization positions long-term residential support (up to multi-year program participation) as the central pathway for families to rebuild stability and access education, employment and childcare resources.
