About Grattan After School Program

Grattan After School Program (GASP) is a community-founded 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates an after-school program for students at Grattan Elementary in San Francisco. Founded as a family-run program in the late 1970s and incorporated as an independent nonprofit in 2002, GASP works in partnership with SFUSD as an ExCEL site to provide daily extended-learning services when SFUSD schools are in session. GASP runs a mix of academic support, interest-based enrichment, sports and recreation, and restorative-practices-based behavior supports; it offers tuition assistance and participates in state/district grant programs (ELO-P/ASES) to expand access. Recent organizational activity includes published registration materials for the 2025–2026 school year and continued program operations through the 2023–2025 period while maintaining multi-year public Form 990 filings and multi-source funding to support program growth.
