To help men in the cancer recovery process by introducing them to the healing powers of the sport of fly-fishing and providing a safe, supportive environment to explore their personal experiences of cancer with peers.
About REEL RECOVERY, INC.
Reel Recovery is a national, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit (IRS tax-exempt since 2003) that offers multi-day, no-cost fly-fishing retreats combining expert fly-fishing instruction with professionally facilitated peer conversations for men living with cancer.
Retreats are led by psychosocial facilitators and experienced fly-fishing instructors; Reel Recovery supplies lodging, meals and equipment so participants only need to arrange transportation to the site.
The organization operates across the United States and internationally (including licensed partners abroad) and, in recent years, has resumed a robust schedule of regional and international retreats serving several hundred men annually.
