To nurture, empower, promote and sustain Evergreen, Colorado’s creative community by supporting local artists, cultural organizations, events, and creative enterprises so arts and culture remain a vital part of community life and the local economy.
About Evergreen Creative District
Evergreen Creative District (ECD) is a Colorado 501(c)(3) nonprofit umbrella organization founded in 2023 to bring together artists, cultural organizations, businesses, and residents to celebrate and sustain Evergreen’s creative economy. Creativity Lives Here is the organization’s central message and organizing principle.
ECD runs membership and promotional programs, helps coordinate festivals and cultural events, advocates for local creative businesses, and provides information, marketing and capacity-building support to ensure arts and cultural entities in the community are sustainable.
In October 2025 ECD was designated a Colorado State Certified Creative District; in recent years the organization has launched a member directory, formed a Festival Task Force (June 2024) to strengthen event collaboration, and expanded outreach and membership drives (2024–2025).
Notable achievements
Colorado State Certified Creative District (Oct 2025)
Earned official Colorado Creative District certification in October 2025, joining the statewide network of certified creative districts and becoming eligible for technical assistance and matching grant opportunities.
Established membership program (2024)
Launched a public member directory and affordable first-year membership drive (2024–2025) to grow local participation and visibility for creatives and cultural businesses.
Festival Task Force creation (June 2024)
Formed a Festival Task Force in mid-2024 to coordinate festival organizers across Evergreen, develop cross-promotional plans, and increase regional attendance for multiple seasonal events.
