About XVI LATVIAN SONG AND DANCE FESTIVAL INC

XVI Latvian Song and Dance Festival Inc is the U.S.-based organizing committee for the XVI Latvian Song and Dance Festival to be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The organization exists to plan and present a multi-day cultural festival of choir, dance, theater, visual arts and related events that celebrate Latvian song and dance traditions. The festival organizing committee expects approximately 4,000 guests and participants—including singers, dancers and visiting delegations from the Latvian diaspora and Latvia—and plans a main choir of roughly 500 singers and about 750 dancers across scheduled events. The committee is actively securing venues, sponsorships, ticketing and program elements for the July 1–5, 2026 festival. Since receiving U.S. tax-exempt status in 2023, the organization has launched an official website, announced sponsors and partners, and publicly documented recent milestones of the Grand Rapids organizing team as it prepares the festival program and community outreach.
