About Pueblo Spay and Neuter Now
Founded in November 2023, Pueblo Spay and Neuter Now is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that organizes high-volume pop-up and mobile spay/neuter clinics, partners with veterinary teams and regional organizations, and connects pet owners and community-cat caregivers in Southern Colorado with low-cost services.
Since launch the group has coordinated multiple partner-led and solo clinics, targeted TNR efforts, and donor-funded sponsorships to lower client costs and expand access in veterinary‑underserved areas.
By combining volunteer coordination, outreach, and subsidized surgery sponsorships, the organization aims to reduce shelter intake, euthanasia, public‑safety concerns, and ecological impacts from unowned animals in the region.
Notable achievements
High clinic volume
Reportedly fixed and vaccinated 1,621 cats and dogs through partner and solo clinics between the organization's launch (November 2023) and autumn 2025.
Launched solo clinic operations
Completed the organization's first independently run clinic January 25–27, 2025, followed by additional solo clinic weekends later in 2025, demonstrating operational capacity beyond partner events.
Regional partnerships established
Built repeat partnerships with mobile and relief spay/neuter teams and local humane organizations to bring recurring clinics and TNR days to Pueblo and surrounding counties.
