About BREAST CANCER IN YOUNG WOMEN FOUNDATION

Breast Cancer in Young Women Foundation (BCYW Foundation) is an international nonprofit that concentrates exclusively on breast cancer affecting younger women, aiming to reduce incidence, promote early diagnosis, fund patient-focused research, and improve survivorship outcomes. The organization’s website lists it as a U.S. 501(c)(3) organization (EIN: 92-2172355).

Since its public launch in 2023–2024 the Foundation has developed three complementary pillars—awareness and education, translational research funding, and advocacy/survivorship programs—and has built a global network of clinicians, researchers, survivors and partner NGOs.

Recent activities (2023–2025) include publishing an open-access journal focused on young women’s breast cancer, convening an international conference in Lisbon (Oct 29–30, 2024), launching the Youth Council for Breast Health (YCBH) to mobilize campus chapters, and establishing multiple international partnerships to expand outreach and resources.
