About HARRIS HEALTH STRATEGIC FUND

Harris Health Strategic Fund is the official fundraising organization established to support Harris Health System’s strategic facilities and service expansion. The Fund raises major gifts to implement the system’s multi-billion-dollar facilities plan and to underwrite programs that improve access, quality and equity across Harris County. In recent years the Fund has led a major capital fundraising campaign tied to Harris Health’s facilities plan, supported the ceremonial groundbreaking for expanded trauma and hospital capacity, and worked with public and private partners to secure philanthropic commitments that accelerate system improvements for safety-net patients and the broader community.

Rapid capital campaign progress

The Fund has driven major-donor fundraising toward a targeted multi-year campaign, reporting near-completion of a $100 million private philanthropy goal in support of Harris Health’s capital needs.

Supported hospital expansion & trauma capacity

The Strategic Fund provided philanthropic support and visibility for Harris Health’s facilities program, including the public groundbreaking and early fundraising for a trauma-capable hospital and related renovations and clinic expansions.
