About MUSIC TO GROW BY
Music to Grow By is a community nonprofit focused on delivering music education and group/individual instruction inside residential and recovery programs. The organization was formed to expand an existing outreach that taught music to participants in life-renewal programs and shelters in the Denver area.
Since formalizing as a nonprofit in 2023, Music to Grow By has expanded partnerships with local recovery providers (including the Denver Rescue Mission, Stout Street Foundation, Sobriety House and a Boulder site) and continues to recruit volunteer music teachers and administrative volunteers while accepting online donations to support program growth.
Notable achievements
Established nonprofit from active outreach
Transitioned an existing outreach program into a formal nonprofit after teaching dozens of students in the Denver Rescue Mission New Life program.
Program expansion to multiple partner sites
