About Coral Acres Wellness Sanctuary
Coral Acres Wellness Sanctuary (CAWS) is a foster-based equine rescue founded in July 2023 that focuses on rehabilitation, rehoming, and community education about responsible horse care.
CAWS operates a developing foster and adoption program, runs fundraising campaigns to secure essential rescue infrastructure (notably transportation), and is building space and programming for community wellness retreats and animal-assisted healing.

CAWS was established in July 2023 by a small team with prior rescue experience to create a consent-centered sanctuary and foster-based rescue model.
First rescue — "Biscuit"
Rescued and fostered the organization’s first horse, establishing operational experience in intake, care, and rehabilitation.
Transportation fundraising launched (2024–2025)
Launched public fundraising campaigns to purchase a 3–4 horse trailer (and associated transport resources) to improve response capacity and serve the community during emergencies.
