About INTRAX FOUNDATION

Intrax Foundation is a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2023 by the team behind Intrax (International Training and Exchange) to honor founders John Wilhelm and Takeshi Yokota and to advance cross-cultural exchange. The foundation awards the Yokota & Wilhelm Fellowship to support students (age 15+) and K–12 teachers in funded international cultural experiences and also supports community-focused giving tied to Intrax’s network. Since launching, the foundation has been active in grantmaking and partnerships: it announced a gift establishing the Intrax Foundation Yokota & Wilhelm Fund to Brown University’s Office of Global Engagement (June 2024), has run annual volunteering and fundraising activities (Intrax WAY Day), and has posted partnerships and grants to organizations and university global-learning programs in the past 2–3 years.

Yokota & Wilhelm Fellowship

Launched a named fellowship program that provides awards for students and K–12 teachers to pursue self-selected cultural exchange and study-abroad experiences.

Seed gift to Brown University

Established the Intrax Foundation Yokota & Wilhelm Fund with Brown University’s Office of Global Engagement to support global summer programs and scholarships focused on access for first-generation and low-income students.

WAY Day community giving

Organized the annual Intrax WAY Day volunteer and fundraising event (2024 campaign exceeded its fundraising goal), demonstrating early community engagement and grassroots support.
