About Avery's Modern Teahouse
Avery's Modern Teahouse is a nonprofit teahouse in the Northern Colorado area that combines a customer-facing café with a mission to train and employ people with unique abilities. The organization grew from the local nonprofit Avery's Light and emphasizes dignity, skills-building, and community inclusion.
Since opening in early 2024, the teahouse has operated as both a welcoming public space for tea, coffee and light fare and as a hands-on vocational program that partners with local internship and school-to-work programs to prepare staff for long-term employment in the community.
