About TRISTYN BAILEY FOUNDATION, INC.
The Tristyn Bailey Foundation, Inc. is a Jacksonville, Florida-based 501(c)(3) public charity established to honor the life and legacy of 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey. The foundation organizes community education, victim-support programming, and youth development initiatives built around four pillars: character development, victim advocacy, self-defense/self-confidence, and social-media safety education. Since incorporation in 2023 and recognition as tax-exempt in late 2023, the foundation has worked with local law-enforcement and community partners to deliver programs (Project iGuardian, Angel Family Nights), run annual fundraising events (memorial golf tournament and gala), and engage in legislative advocacy to protect minors’ privacy in criminal cases. It maintains an active donor-facing web presence and regular public events in the Jacksonville area.
Notable achievements
Legislative impact (SB 404)
The foundation was a public advocate behind legislative changes in Florida (Senate Bill 404, signed in 2023) to limit public release of crime-scene photos, videos and autopsy reports involving minors, a policy change the family and foundation highlighted as central to victim privacy and dignity.
Established recurring fundraising events
Launched and expanded signature fundraising activities—the Tristyn Bailey Memorial Golf Tournament and an annual Gala—which have become regular community fixtures and support the foundation’s programs; IRS filings for fiscal year 2024 show the organization reported $44,666 in revenue and $73,131 in net assets.
Program delivery with law-enforcement partners
Produced community-facing programs in 2024–2025 such as Project iGuardian (online-safety education with Homeland Security Investigations) and multiple 'Angel Family Night' events in partnership with local sports teams and the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office to support families affected by violence.
