About Carbondale Education Foundation
Carbondale Education Foundation (CEF) is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2023 that raises funds to support K–12 public education in Carbondale, Colorado.
CEF provides needs-assessed, impact-driven funding across Carbondale’s six public schools and focuses on teacher grants, student supports, experiential learning, and school-based services.
Since launching, the foundation has run community fundraising campaigns, distributed teacher grants, and committed seed funding toward a school-based health center and other priority initiatives.
Notable achievements
Seed funding for school health center
Raised $40,000 to support design and permitting for a school-based health center at Roaring Fork High School to expand medical, dental and mental-health access.
Support preserved music programming
Committed $20,000 to help sustain and restore music education programming across Carbondale public schools.
Delivered teacher grants in first years
Distributed more than $25,000 across 25+ teacher grants during the 2024–25 school year and committed increased grant funding for 2025–26.
