About RUSSIAN CENTER OF SAN FRANCISCO

The Russian Center of San Francisco is a San Francisco–based 501(c)(3) cultural nonprofit (FEIN 94-0822710) founded in 1939 by Russian immigrants to preserve and celebrate Russian and Slavic heritage. The Center operates the Museum of Russian Culture and Russian Heritage Library, runs Teremok Russian-English bilingual preschool and children’s programs, organizes the annual Slavic Festival, and makes its historic Art Deco building available for community and cultural events. In the last 2–3 years the organization has continued in-person programming (including annual festivals and dance classes), maintained archival access for researchers, and operated its preschool and rental venue activities as active community services.
