About ITALIAN COMMUNITY SERVICES

Italian Community Services (ICS) is a long‑standing San Francisco nonprofit (founded 1916) that serves the Bay Area Italian and Italian‑American community by preserving cultural heritage and delivering direct community services. As trustee of Casa Fugazi, ICS operates cultural and social programming, partners with local Italian organizations, and provides grants that promote Italian language and arts.

ICS runs regular community programs focused on older adults (including a weekly Wednesday luncheon program and care‑package efforts), awards the John C. Riccio Grant to support Italian language and cultural education, and hosts cultural performances through Club Fugazi and partner organizations. In recent years ICS has reported active program growth, expanded community partnerships, and sustained charitable disbursements supported by its investment assets.
