THEATRE BAY AREA

Theatre Bay Area (TBA) is a long-established, member-driven nonprofit arts service organization founded in 1976 that supports Bay Area theatre artists, companies, and audiences. TBA provides membership services, a centralized show calendar and talent bank, professional development, and a suite of grant and re-granting programs designed to sustain and grow the region’s theatre ecosystem. In the last 2–3 years TBA has remained active in funding and professional development: running recurring grant cycles (CA$H Theatre Grants, Lemonade Fund), awarding fellowships (RHE Artistic Fellowship; Arts Leadership Residency), producing convenings (TBAConnect conference), and operating regional and general auditions. The organization also marked its 50th anniversary in 2026 and continues to serve as a central hub connecting hundreds of companies and thousands of individual artists across the Bay Area.
