SAN FRANCISCO PERFORMANCES INC

San Francisco Performances is an independent presenter of chamber music, solo recitals, jazz and contemporary dance founded in 1979. The organization curates intimate, artist-centered seasons and multi-year artist residencies that bring international and emerging artists to Bay Area audiences. In the last 2–3 years SFP has continued full seasons and festival programming (including anniversary seasons and its PIVOT festival), sustained artist-in-residence and education initiatives, and presented dozens of mainstage concerts across Herbst Theatre and other local venues. The organization maintains active subscription seasons and ongoing community and school outreach programs that extend performances beyond the concert hall. San Francisco Performances has a long track record of introducing major artists in recital debuts and of sustaining multi-year educational residencies; it operates as a donor-facing, ticketed nonprofit with an active web presence and regularly filed Form 990 tax returns.
