About NAMI SAN FRANCISCO

NAMI San Francisco is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, operating as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers peer-led support groups, evidence-based classes, public presentations, and a helpline tailored to San Francisco’s diverse communities. Its programs are offered in English, Spanish and Cantonese and are delivered in partnership with city agencies and community organizations to reach people who face cultural or systemic barriers to services. In recent years NAMI San Francisco has expanded outreach into schools, housing sites, faith communities, and behavioral health clinics, and continues to operate its signature family and peer education programs at no cost to participants. The organization files annual Form 990 returns and maintains a public web presence with program schedules, resource guides, and community impact materials.
