About INTERNATIONAL HOTEL SENIOR HOUSING INC

International Hotel Senior Housing, Inc. is a San Francisco nonprofit public benefit corporation that owns and operates the I‑Hotel senior housing development in Manilatown/Chinatown. The 15‑story building (opened in 2005) provides approximately 104 affordable units for very low‑income seniors and includes community spaces that commemorate the history of the original I‑Hotel.

The organization partners with Chinatown Community Development Center for development, property management and resident services and with the Manilatown Heritage Foundation to operate the ground‑floor cultural center. Recent years have seen ongoing resident services (daily nutrition and activities), a closed waiting list due to demand, and continued stewardship of the building amid financial pressures stemming from operating deficits and building‑related liabilities reported in recent Form 990 filings.
