BALLET HAWAII

Founded in 1976, Ballet Hawaii is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that teaches, presents, promotes, and produces dance throughout the Hawaiian Islands. The organization operates year-round training programs, a performing ensemble, and public productions while maintaining an emphasis on community access and education. Ballet Hawaii runs a multi-level school with programs from pre-ballet through advanced levels, a Summer Intensive and master classes that host guest faculty, and a performing ensemble that appears in seasonal productions. The organization maintains studios on Oʻahu and draws students and audiences from across the state. Ballet Hawaii produces an annual Hawaiian-themed Nutcracker and operates an Angel/outreach program that partners with Title I schools and local nonprofits to bring performances, tickets, and transportation to students and community members. In recent seasons the company has continued public performances, outreach visits to schools and community sites, and fundraising events to support its education and performance work.
