The organization sponsors and partners on statewide youth information and outreach platforms (including TeenLink Hawaii) and runs trainings and collaborative initiatives focused on issues such as runaway and homeless youth services, teen pregnancy and STI prevention, bullying and violence prevention, and improvements to foster care and juvenile justice systems. HYSN is an active, donor-facing 501(c)(3) organization that files annual Form 990s; for the fiscal year ending September 2022 it reported revenue in the seven-figure range and maintained multi-year program and grant activity. In recent years HYSN has continued to operate statewide programs and partnerships, received philanthropic support (including a Hawaii Community Foundation grant in 2024), and participated in federally funded youth outreach efforts.
