About ALLIANCE FOR DRAMA EDUCATION

The Alliance for Drama Education (ADE) is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) arts-education organization that partners with Hawaii schools and community groups to deliver drama/theatre residencies, curricula, and performance opportunities for K–12 students. ADE deploys teams of teaching artists to classrooms to model active learning, build communication and social skills, and align drama activities with academic standards. Founded and tax-exempt since the early 1980s, ADE’s long-running work includes a flagship youth ensemble (T‑Shirt Theatre) and collaborations with statewide arts and school partners. In the last several years the organization has continued classroom residencies, public performances, and community partnerships while reporting annual Form 990 filings and maintaining an active presence on state arts rosters and local grant programs.
