Chamber Music Hawaii
To enrich Hawai‘i’s cultural life and promote appreciation and understanding of chamber music by presenting resident professional chamber ensembles in public concerts and year‑round educational outreach programs for schools and underserved communities.
About Chamber Music Hawaii
Chamber Music Hawai‘i is a long‑standing Honolulu‑based presenter and producer of professional resident chamber ensembles, founded in 1982. The organization presents a subscription concert season, touring performances across all six major Hawaiian islands, and year‑round education programs that reach thousands of students and community members. CMH maintains three resident ensembles (the Galliard String Quartet, the Spring Wind Quintet, and the Honolulu Brass Quintet) and a variety of ensemble configurations (Tresemble) to perform a broad repertoire, commission new works, and deliver bilingual and culturally rooted education projects statewide. Recent seasons (including the 2025–26 season) emphasize student access (low‑cost and free student tickets, the Student Advantage Program), partnerships with the Hawai‘i Youth Symphony for coaching and mentorship, and expanded statewide touring and school‑based workshops.
