About Bible Institute of Hawaii

Bible Institute of Hawai‘i (BIH) is an evangelical, multi-denominational nonprofit Bible school founded in 1972 that provides scriptural education, certificate programs, and continuing-education courses across the Hawaiian Islands. BIH partners with local churches and ministries to deliver quarterly classes, seminars, and special events (for example, the annual “Walk in the Word”), and operates programs including prison ministry and donor-directed funds.

BIH is an active, donor-facing 501(c)(3) organization that maintains a public web presence, an active quarterly newsletter, and recent course schedules and offerings (including CEU-eligible coursework) for 2024–2025. The organization’s recent Form 990 filings show continued program delivery and modest operating revenues (approximately $100K in fiscal year 2024), supporting faculty, course delivery, and outreach activities.

Leadership and governance are in place (executive director and a volunteer board), and BIH continues to publish regular newsletters and course catalogs documenting ongoing classes, events, and community partnerships.
