About Oahu Economic Development Board

Oahu Economic Development Board (OEDB) is a Honolulu-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works with private-sector leaders, government, philanthropy and communities to promote economic diversification, job creation and community resilience across Oʻahu. OEDB emphasizes relational, values-based economic development rooted in the Aloha Spirit and operates projects spanning strategy, financing and technical assistance.

In the last 2–3 years OEDB led development of the Honolulu Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) for 2023–2027, a multi-stakeholder plan created with nearly 1,000 participants to guide island economic recovery, resilience and shared prosperity. During the same period OEDB continued its Punawai o Puʻuhonua New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) work (a partnership with American Savings Bank) that has directed substantial NMTC allocations to community projects that support healthcare, education and workforce facilities.

OEDB has an active leadership and board drawn from Hawaii business and nonprofit sectors, and updated public filings show the organization operating with program-focused revenues and stable net assets in recent tax filings (tax year 2024 reporting roughly $1.27M in revenue and approximately $1.76M in net assets).
